In 2007, he worked as an English instructor at Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. He then relocated to San Francisco to become an adult performer while continuing his writing and teaching career.

In 2016, he co-won “Best All Male Threesome” at the Raven’s Eden Awards. He hosted “Ulysses – For The Rest Of Us!”, a live lecture series and book club centered on James Joyce’s “Ulysses” in collaboration with the Museum Of Literature Ireland. In October 2021, he co-curated “Utopia Ireland” at The National Concert Hall. His debut novel, “Hawk Mountain,” was published by W. W. Norton & Company in July 2022.
